Explorers courageously step into a new day in our learning studios and greet each-other as they prepare for a day of fun and creativity.
Guides give a challenge question that encourages the explorers to make decisions. During the discussion, explorers practice agreeing, disagreeing, and embracing different perspectives.
Quiet core curriculum time is similar to group tutoring. During this time, explorers journey through engaging lessons in their parent-selected homeschool curriculum, or our innovative ed-tech platforms. Our guides provide additional support as needed. Throughout this learning time children will take brain breaks where they will move, stretch, and converse with friends.
During this time, explorers will have the opportunity to eat lunch together, participate in physical activities, play games together, and more!
This meeting is special, because our discussion in geared toward encouraging curiosity and innovation as we focus on our activity of the day.
Many activities tie together in a learning quest. At the end of the quest, learners will have an exposition of their work. Examples include environmentalism, entrepreneurship, engineering, art, music, home-ec and more!
All great learning environments deserve maintenance. During this time we clean our space, organize, and make sure it is prepped for the next day.
At the end of the day we reflect on how our day went and what we hope to carry with us into the next day.
By this point, the explorers will have so much to share with their pick-up partner. Be ready with good questions to unpack their day and share with eachother!
